Healthy Families

The Healthy Families program provides education, support, and resources to first time teen parents 20 years of age and younger, through home visits and support groups.

We provide home visits designed to meet the families’ needs during the pregnancy and up to the child’s third birthday. We are committed to providing support to young, pregnant teens and do this by developing individual service plans with families to identify specific goals they want to achieve while in the program.

Our visits are curriculum based and focus on helping the parents become self sufficient, make healthy choices for themselves and their children, encourage them to complete their education and obtain job training skills while focusing the on the parent/child relationship.

As part of the program we also provide interactive and engaging groups for parents that include transportation, child care, and meals. We encourage parents to connect with other parents and to have a voice in their community.
